This closer look at the microblade core allows for some visibility of the location from where the blades were taken. Each blade is taken one after another so you can just go clockwise or counterclockwise around the lip of the core stripping off blades for as long as the top lip of the core holds up.

These microblade cores are HUGE. I suppose huge isn’t the right term but they’re rather long. Most microblade cores in Alaska are easily half this size if not a quarter of the size. The core seen lying in the gravel is probably about 6 inches (15cm) long. I have no idea how these blades were pulled off from here. It must have been from indirect percussion, where something was held at the edge of the core and wrapped upon by another object. This would make for precise striking along the lip of the core making these long blades.
